This is a small shop run by one person. This page says what the site collects, why it is kept, and what is never done with it. It is written plainly rather than legally, because it is meant to be read.

If you send an enquiry about a coin

The contact form on a listing asks for your name, your email address and your message. Those three things are stored so the enquiry can be answered, and they are emailed to the shop owner so he sees it. That is the whole purpose, and they are not used for anything else.

If you buy something

Payment happens on PayPal, not here. When you press the PayPal or Venmo button you are handed to PayPal to pay, and your card number, bank details and PayPal password are entered there and never reach this site. This shop cannot see them and never stores them.

What comes back from PayPal, once a payment succeeds, is what is needed to send you the item and keep the books straight: your name and postal address so the parcel can be posted, your email address so you can be told it has gone or asked a question about it, the amount paid, and PayPal's own reference for the payment.

The postal address is deleted ninety days after the item is posted. That is long enough to answer “where did you send it?” and short enough that this shop is not quietly keeping a list of where its customers live. The record of what was sold and for how much stays, as any shop's sales records do.

If you just look around

Browsing the shop does not require an account and does not ask you for anything. No advertising or tracking services are embedded in this site, and nothing you look at is shared with anyone. The shop does keep a simple count of how many people visited and which pieces were opened, so the owner knows what is drawing interest — a tally of pages, with nothing attached to a person. Cookies

Two, and neither of them follows you anywhere. Signing in to the private side of this site sets a cookie so the browser stays signed in — that one is only ever set for the shop owner.

Visiting the shop sets a second one: a random number, kept for six hours, so that reloading a page is not counted as another visitor. It is how the shop knows roughly how many people looked this week and which pieces they opened. It holds nothing about you, it is not read by anything outside this site, and it is not shared with anyone.

There are no advertising cookies, and no third-party tracking or analytics services are embedded in this site.

Where things are kept

• The website and its database are hosted by Vercel.
• Photographs of coins are stored in Vercel's file storage.
• Email — sign-in links and enquiry notifications — is sent through Resend.
• Coin photographs are sent to Google's Gemini service to be identified, which is how a coin's details are filled in from a picture.
• When the shop lists on eBay, coin details and photographs are sent to eBay to create the listing, and order details come back so stock stays correct. Only what a listing needs is sent.
• Payments are taken by PayPal, which also provides the Venmo button. Card and bank details are entered on PayPal and never reach this site; your name, address, email and the amount paid come back so the item can be posted. PayPal has its own privacy policy, which covers what happens on their side.

What is never done

• Your details are not sold, rented or traded.
• They are not used to advertise to you.
• They are not passed to anyone beyond the services listed above.

How long things are kept

An enquiry is kept while it is useful — for a record of what was asked and answered about a coin. Ask for yours to be deleted and it will be.

A postal address given when buying something is deleted ninety days after the item is posted. The sale itself — what it was, what it cost and when — is kept, as a shop's sales records are.

Asking for a copy, or for deletion

Email the shop and say what you would like. You can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be removed.
